In a heartwarming endeavor to inspire and empower the next generation, the Amy Butler Foundation, founded by Ayeshia Quianoo-Tefera, recently took 22 of its mentees from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area (DMV) on an unforgettable trip to Orlando, Florida. This remarkable journey was much more than a vacation; it was a transformative experience designed to align with the foundation’s mission of developing youth into game-changing adults through visionary life mastery.

An Enriching Experience at the Heart of Florida

The trip was carefully curated to provide a balance of fun, education, and inspiration. The children enjoyed the ultimate resort experience, a stay filled with joy, relaxation, and the excitement of new possibilities. One of the highlights of their adventure was visiting Wekiwa Springs, where the serene natural beauty offered a perfect backdrop for reflection and connection with nature.

The magic of Orlando continued as the mentees had the extraordinary opportunity to explore all four Disney parks. From the enchantment of Magic Kingdom to the futuristic wonders of Epcot, the wild adventures at Animal Kingdom, and the cinematic experiences at Hollywood Studios, each day was filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories.

Reflections from the Mentees

Jessica Owusu, one of the mentees, shared her excitement about the trip: “Our trip to Orlando, Florida, was very eventful. We started the trip by coming togetheras a group at the airport, where we did a head count, sorted the seats, and even began to mingle as peers. The plane ride was smooth; we landed and made our way to the beautiful resort. The resort had a lot of activities to keep us busy throughout the week. We had the agenda of Disneyland and outdoor activities. Each day consisted of morning devotions which had a topic point that we elaborated on and contributed to. Each day had great fun activities like the pool in the resort, cooking with the group, and walks around the resort itself. I enjoyed the scenery and the group of guests that attended. Disneyland was a fun and hot experience. The castle was so beautiful in person, and the rides had many hidden gems within the waiting area. Each park at Disney contained something new and fun. I personally enjoyed Epcot and Animal Kingdom as the sights and music were more entertaining than the other parks. The kids and the teens really bonded on this trip while sharing experiences during morning devotions and getting to see each other daily. I am extremely grateful to Mrs. Ayesha, Ms. Heather, Kadmiel, and Aunty Abena for their guidance and graciousness throughout the trip.”

For Isaiah Machuenger, this trip was full of firsts, including his first plane ride: “My trip to Disney was fun, exciting, thrilling, and terrific. The trip to the airport was very nerve-racking because I had never been on a plane, and that was the only thing on my mind. As soon as I got on the plane, the part where you go in the air was very scary, in my opinion, because I had never been on a plane before. The landing was the next scary thing on the plane. I was also very scared at that part, but I prayed, and it turned out fine. Next, when we landed, it was a long drive from the airport to the resort. When we got to the resort, it was very quiet but very nice. Later on in the trip, my stay at the resort was very nice—the resort looked very beautiful, and it was very pleasant. I would say my favorite part at Disney was when we went on Space Mountain, by far the scariest ride I’ve ever been on. I would say my favorite part about the trip was Disney because there were so many parts we didn’t even explore yet, so I would say the rides were the most interesting part of my stay at Disney.”

Aislie Aboagye also reflected on the trip with deep appreciation: “The Florida trip was truly unforgettable, and I can’t thank you enough for making it all possible. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere and the endless activities that made every day an adventure. Exploring new places, trying different foods, and immersing ourselves in the local culture created memories that will last a lifetime. I really appreciated how you took the time to plan everything out, ensuring we had the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. Your thoughtfulness and generosity made the trip not just enjoyable but also incredibly special. Whether it was visiting unique attractions, laughing at inside jokes, or simply taking in the sights, every moment was filled with joy because of you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to experience something so amazing; I’m truly grateful for your kindness and the effort you put into making this trip so wonderful.”

A Trip Rooted in Empowerment and Visionary Mastery

The Amy Butler Foundation’s commitment to mentoring youth is deeply rooted in its mission: to develop the youth to manifest powerfully in becoming game-changing adults with great success in life through the guidance of life visionary mastery. This trip was a vivid example of the foundation’s approach, as it provided the mentees with exposure to new environments and ideas, helping them to envision a future filled with possibilities.

Through its programs, the foundation empowers youth to unlock their potential, achieve their dreams, and become extraordinary life game changers. The Orlando trip embodied this vision, as it not only offered the children a chance to dream big but also equipped them with the tools to bring those dreams to life.

A Journey Guided by AGGG

The foundation’s unique slogan, “AGGG of life,” served as a guiding principle throughout the trip. AGGG—A-ttitude, G-ratitude, G-rittitude, and G-rindtitude—are the cornerstones of the foundation’s mentoring philosophy. The mentees were encouraged to maintain a positive attitude, express gratitude, develop grit, and embrace the grind of hard work. These life skills were woven into their experiences, ensuring that the lessons learned during this trip would resonate long after their return.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future for the Youth

The Amy Butler Foundation’s Orlando trip is a testament to its unwavering dedication to the youth. By creating such impactful experiences, the foundation is not only helping young people harvest their extraordinary potential but also instilling in them the aspiration to always be the best version of themselves throughout life.

As the foundation’s tagline proudly declares, “The Youth is our Mission: Together we will succeed.” This trip was a significant step toward that success, empowering a new generation to dream, aspire, and achieve greatness.

The Amy Butler Foundation continues to set the stage for these future game changers, equipping them with the vision, skills, and mindset they need to make their mark on the world. With every initiative, the foundation reaffirms its purpose: to empower, equip, endorse, and enable the youth to create their dream life through purposeful and intentional life visioning mastery.

In the spirit of AGGG, the foundation and its mentees are ready to take on any challenge, always moving forward with a positive attitude, deep gratitude, unwavering grit, and relentless grind. The future is bright, and the youth are ready to shine.
