About Us
The Voice of Africa Group began in 2016 as a printed newspaper circulated in more than 300 locations across the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia region and Ghana. What started as a grassroots publication has grown into one of the fastest rising Pan African platforms in the world, a gateway connecting Africa to global institutions, global audiences and global opportunities through media, sports, culture, tourism, investment and youth leadership.
Today, the Voice of Africa Group is recognised across major international arenas. We have covered global summits and high-level sessions at the United Nations, the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings, the NBA and Basketball Africa League ecosystems, the G20 and SAI20 platforms and global conferences shaping policy, innovation and development. This visibility positions TVOA as a trusted bridge between Africa and the world, offering credible, youth-driven storytelling that global institutions respect and engage with.
The Voice of Africa Media remains the foundation of our mission. Through our physical newspaper, digital newsroom, website, podcast, YouTube channel, newsletter and rapidly expanding social media, we inform the world about Africa’s stories, opportunities and emerging influence. Our coverage has reached millions across Africa, the diaspora and global decision-making hubs, establishing the Voice of Africa Group as one of the definitive platforms for understanding Africa today.
Experience Africa is the largest Pan African event in Washington DC. Bringing together Africans, African Americans and Caribbeans, Experience Africa creates a space for cultural exchange, business networking, diplomacy, strategic collaboration and collective celebration. It has become the capital’s signature Pan African gathering, drawing creatives, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and community leaders committed to Africa’s advancement.
Experience Africa Tours opens a direct gateway to the continent for people across the world. These curated travel experiences immerse participants in Africa’s cultures, investment opportunities, history and innovation. They return as ambassadors for Africa’s potential, often forming long-term business, cultural and philanthropic ties with the continent.
TVOA Sports is Africa’s rising voice in global sports storytelling. From Basketball Without Borders in Kigali to the build-up to AFCON 2025 to Africa’s journey to the FIFA World Cup, the unit showcases Africa’s athletic excellence with credibility and pride. Through TVOA Sports, Africa’s talents, leagues, stories and heroes are presented on a world-class level that resonates with fans, brands and global institutions.
The Voice of Africa Trade and Investment Forum connects African businesses, governments and entrepreneurs with global investors and development partners. This platform positions TVOA as the starting point for anyone seeking to engage in Africa’s economic transformation, facilitating meaningful partnerships that drive innovation, capital flow and sustainable development.
The Ambassador of Africa Program empowers the next generation of African and diaspora leaders. By uniting young visionaries under a shared mission, the initiative cultivates youth who are informed, connected and prepared to lead Africa’s future across media, business, culture and governance.
The Voice of Africa Group is not just a brand. It is Africa’s gateway to its stories, its culture, its opportunities and its future.
