Joseph Elvis A. Lamptey, Director of Growth at PayAngel and Co-Founder of Kaya B2B Multivendor Marketplace, will be a featured speaker at the Voice of Africa’s Diaspora Connect Room, a dynamic engagement session held in collaboration with the Africa Business Club at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. The session is a side event of the prestigious Africa Business Conference, hosted at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

At PayAngel, a pioneering cross-border remittance and payments platform, Joseph has led phenomenal growth, expanding the company’s reach from under 1,500 users to over 100,000 in less than four years. His strategic vision has firmly positioned Kenya as PayAngel’s Eastern Africa Regional Hub, championing innovation and access for diaspora communities seeking seamless financial connections to their roots.

Joseph’s presence at the Diaspora Connect Room adds to a string of high-profile appearances. He has previously represented PayAngel at the World Bank & IMF Annual Meetings and Biashara Africa 2024 in Rwanda, actively contributing to conversations on leveraging fintech to advance trade under the AfCFTA.

A compelling speaker and thought leader, Joseph has delivered talks at Tech in Ghana London, the Africa Remittances Conference, and major academic institutions including Bolton University, Warwick University, and more recently, in collaboration with Webster Leiden University, where he is leading the development of an MSc in Sustainability Management.

Joseph holds an MBA from Middlesex University (London) and a Fintech Certification from Harvard University.
