The Voice of Africa (TVOA), one of the continent’s fastest-growing African-owned ecosystems, has been recognized by the Misk 20 Under 30 initiative for its expanding impact across media, youth leadership, investment, tourism, and sports diplomacy. The recognition places TVOA among the institutions shaping the future of Africa’s global engagement and reinforces the growing role of youth-led African platforms in international development.
Founded less than a decade ago, TVOA has evolved from a small D.C.–Ghana newspaper into a multi-sector Pan-African infrastructure: an ecosystem allowing the world to access Africa through one coordinated platform. From media to investment, culture to tourism, education to sports, TVOA is building the connective tissue that Africa long lacked — fully youth-led, fully African-owned, and globally positioned.
Misk’s acknowledgment reflects the maturity of this ecosystem and its alignment with global priorities including Vision 2030, youth empowerment, cross-regional collaboration, and Global South leadership.
TVOA: Africa’s One-Stop Gateway for Media, Investment, Tourism, Events, Women/Youth Development, and Sports
TVOA operates through interconnected divisions that together create a unified access point to Africa’s opportunities, talent, and global stories.
1. TVOA Media — Africa’s Largest Youth-Led, Privately Owned Newsroom

TVOA Media reaches more than 8 million people digitally each month and over 300,000+ people through print, events, and partnerships.
Its newsroom is Google News indexed and has covered:
-
United Nations General Assembly
-
IMF / World Bank Meetings
-
G20 & SAI20 Summits
-
OAFLAD First Ladies Summits
-
African Union engagements
-
Major cultural and trade events
TVOA is among the very few African-led media bodies consistently present at global decision-making arenas, offering neutral, accurate, and youth-centered coverage of African innovation, leadership, and international diplomacy.
In 2026, TVOA Media will expand further into global entertainment, culture, and policy reporting.
2. TVOA Sports — Africa’s Emerging Voice in Global Sports Journalism

TVOA Sports was launched to elevate African athletes, African leagues, and Africa’s growing role in global sports diplomacy.
Recent and upcoming coverage includes:
-

-
NBA Africa ecosystem stories
-
AFCON 2025
-

-
Athlete storytelling and sports entrepreneurship features
-
East, West, and Southern Africa sports development reporting
TVOA Sports positions Africa not just as a participant in global sports — but as a market, a talent pipeline, and a cultural engine shaping global athletics.
This complements Saudi Arabia’s expanding investment in sports under Vision 2030, opening new lanes for Africa–Saudi collaboration in athlete development, sports tourism, and media partnerships.

The program brings policymakers, investors, creators, diaspora communities, and global partners together to celebrate Africa’s influence in culture, diplomacy, and creative economies.
In 2026, Experience Africa will scale to the largest Pan-African cultural event in the United States, marking TVOA’s 10-year anniversary.
