Evelyn Van Der Puije is the kind of leader who commands attention without raising her voice. As President of The Countess Foundation, Vice President of The Voice of Africa (TVOA), and a celebrated author, entrepreneur, and ministerial arts visionary, she operates on a scale few can match. Spending even a few minutes with her, it’s clear why she is considered a “leader of leaders” in Africa and beyond.

“True leadership is about creating opportunities that outlast you,” Evelyn shares, her eyes steady with purpose. “It’s about building systems, communities, and people who can thrive on their own, and then helping them exceed even their own expectations.”

As President of The Countess Foundation, Evelyn leads initiatives that empower communities across Africa through skills development, creativity, and dignity-centered programs. “Our mission is simple: to create self-sustaining communities where individuals can reach their potential and contribute meaningfully to society,” she explains.

Evelyn is also a prolific author, having published over five impactful books including Memoirs of the Patriarchs and Trapped by a Ghost. Her writing inspires readers to live boldly, lead with purpose, and embrace their personal and professional potential. “I write to challenge, encourage, and empower. Every page is meant to push readers to recognize their value and take action,” she says.

In media and global development, Evelyn’s influence is equally impressive. At The Voice of Africa (TVOA), she advances trade, investment, and cross-continental partnerships. “Africa has immense potential,” she notes. “My role is to ensure our voices are heard, our talent recognized, and our opportunities realized on a global stage.”

Education is another key arena of Evelyn’s leadership. As Principal of Naberm Montessori School in Ada, Ghana, she shapes young minds through a curriculum that fosters academic excellence and global citizenship. “Education is the foundation for leadership,” she says. “We aren’t just teaching subjects; we are cultivating visionaries who will transform their communities and the world.”

Evelyn’s creativity and ministry shine through her work in the arts. She is the founder of The Restored Dance Team, Harps & Bowls, an annual worship and prophetic arts gathering, and Easterfest, a landmark ministry and arts experience hosted at Ghana’s National Theatre. “Art heals, inspires, and unites,” she says. “Through music, dance, and drama, we reach people in ways words alone cannot.”

Mentorship is at the heart of her mission. “I don’t just build programs; I build people,” she shares. “Guiding someone to realize their potential, lead with integrity, and make an impact is the ultimate investment in Africa’s future.”

Evelyn Van Der Puije is a force of transformation. Her leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to purpose position her as one of Africa’s most influential figures, a true “top-don” whose work, words, and example inspire a generation to dream bigger, lead bolder, and leave a legacy of impact.
