In a world saturated with information, the challenge is no longer just what to say, but how to make people care. That is the space Project Everyone has chosen to occupy, turning global ambition into something visible, relatable and difficult to ignore.
Co- founded by Richard Curtis, the organisation operates as a not-for-profit communications agency and a key advocacy partner of the United Nations. Its mission is clear and urgent: to accelerate progress towards a fairer, greener and more just world by 2030 through the power of storytelling, campaigns and public engagement.
At the heart of its work are the Global Goals, a set of 17 targets designed to address the world’s most pressing challenges, from poverty and inequality to climate change. But Project Everyone is not in the business of drafting policy. Its role is more strategic: to ensure that these goals are understood, adopted and acted upon at scale.
This is where communication becomes infrastructure.
Through bold campaigns, large-scale events, creative installations and documentary storytelling, the organisation translates complex global frameworks into narratives that resonate across cultures and audiences. Its “Tell Everyone” campaign, which reached an estimated 40 percent of the world’s population within its first week, illustrates the scale of its ambition and the reach of its network.
Project Everyone’s approach is rooted in the belief that awareness is not a soft outcome. It is a prerequisite for action. Without public understanding and buy-in, even the most carefully designed policies risk remaining confined to conference rooms and official reports.
Internally, the organisation reflects the values it promotes. Its operations are guided by a commitment to sustainability, with annual carbon footprint assessments and efforts to align with science-based targets. It uses renewable energy, prioritises sustainable sourcing and maintains strict ethical standards in its financial practices. These measures are not presented as achievements, but as part of an ongoing process of accountability.
Equally central is its focus on inclusion. Through its Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion framework, led by an independent working group, Project Everyone seeks to build a workplace and partnership ecosystem where diverse perspectives are not only represented but actively shape outcomes. The premise is simple: meaningful global change requires voices from every part of the world.
What distinguishes Project Everyone is not just its campaigns, but its positioning. It sits at the intersection of governments, civil society, private sector actors and multilateral institutions, acting as a bridge between policy and public consciousness. In doing so, it transforms the Sustainable Development Goals from abstract commitments into something tangible and actionable.
