Accra, Ghana – AfroFuture Ghana 2025, one of Africa’s most influential December festivals, has announced a major expansion of its lineup, confirming Nigerian Afrobeats luminary Rema and Ghanaian hitmaker KiDi as marquee performers for its two‑day cultural showcase scheduled for December 28–29 at Accra’s El‑Wak Stadium.

The newly announced roster builds on AfroFuture’s growing reputation as a global intersection point for African artistry, diaspora culture and youth‑driven creative expression. Organizers say the 2025 edition aims to “elevate African nostalgia while shaping the continent’s next wave of creative innovation.”

A Lineup Reflecting Africa’s Cultural Power

Rema’s inclusion signals AfroFuture’s continued draw for global superstars shaping Afrobeats’ dominance. His headline slot follows a year of chart‑topping releases and international touring momentum.

Joining him is Ghana’s own KiDi, whose hybrid of highlife, Afropop and R&B continues to position him as one of the country’s most dynamic contemporary artists.

The 2025 DJ roster spans Africa, the Caribbean and the diaspora, featuring Skyla Tylaa, DJ L.A.J, DJ RBnice, Flygerian, DJ Mohogany, Afrolektra, TMSKDJ, and DJ Oreo, bringing a cross‑continental energy to Accra’s most anticipated end‑of‑year festival.

On stage, hosts MC Lola, Kojo Manuel, Princess AJ and Michael Nichols bring global appeal and local authenticity, curating the flow between performances and cultural segments.

These additions join previously confirmed acts Asake, Moliy, King Paluta and TxC, solidifying AfroFuture 2025 as a key pillar of Ghana’s December events economy.

Beyond Music: A Full Cultural Ecosystem

AfroFuture 2025 extends far beyond stage performances. This year’s programme integrates multiple creative verticals:

• AfroFuture Art Gallery

Featuring works from African and diaspora artists, the gallery highlights contemporary visual narratives rooted in heritage and futurism.

• Fashion Night Out

Spotlighting more than 15 designers, the event celebrates emerging and established African fashion voices, reinforcing Accra’s growing influence in global style conversations.

• Vendor Village

A curated marketplace of 35 vendors offering African cuisine, fashion, art and lifestyle products, framing the festival as both cultural experience and economic accelerator.

• Immersive Brand Activations

Experiences including the Martell VIP lounge, wellness programming, masterclasses under The Future Makers Series, community fairs, film screenings and book talks.

• AfroFuture Foundation x Black Health Connect

Delivering community‑focused outreach and wellness initiatives designed to elevate health access and awareness.

Together, these elements position AfroFuture not merely as a festival, but as a platform for cross‑sector cultural exchange, creative incubation and economic empowerment.

A Cultural Force in Accra’s ‘Detty December’ Economy

Detty December remains Ghana’s most significant tourism and cultural season. AfroFuture’s 2025 edition reinforces Accra’s status as a cultural capital for African youth, global diaspora communities and international travelers seeking authentic, world‑class experiences.

Industry analysts project that the festival’s expanded programming will deepen its economic impact—boosting hospitality, small business participation and the creative sector’s visibility across the continent.

According to Culture Management Group, AfroFuture 2025 “celebrates shared memories while shaping the next evolution of African cultural influence.” With its blend of artistry, heritage, technology and community programming, this year’s edition is positioned to be the most ambitious yet.
