Morocco has added another major trophy to its growing football legacy after winning the Arab Cup following a tense final against Jordan in Qatar.

The victory sparked widespread celebrations across Rabat, where supporters flooded Mohamed V Avenue to mark what many described as another defining moment for the national team. Cafés filled, streets echoed with chants, and fans waved flags long into the night as the Atlas Lions delivered a performance that tested belief and rewarded patience.

The final itself was finely balanced. Morocco opened the scoring early, but Jordan responded strongly in the second half, overturning the lead and placing pressure firmly on the North African side. With the clock ticking down, Morocco found an equaliser in the 89th minute, forcing extra time and reigniting hopes both on the pitch and back home.

Abderrazak Hamdallah sealed the victory in extra time, completing a 3–2 comeback that crowned Morocco champions of the Arab Cup. The result adds to a remarkable recent run that includes success at the African Nations Championship and the Under‑20 World Cup earlier this year.

For many supporters, the triumph is not just about silverware but momentum. As celebrations continued in Rabat, attention quickly shifted to the Africa Cup of Nations, with fans openly expressing confidence in the team’s ability to compete for yet another title.

Morocco’s recent success reflects a broader rise in African football, where structure, belief, and long‑term planning are beginning to translate into sustained results. While comparisons are often made with older football powers, Africa’s story is still being written, shaped by nations building systems, identity, and confidence in real time.

From Rabat’s streets to continental ambitions, the message is clear: Africa is growing, learning, and pushing forward on its own terms, with hope firmly at the center of the journey.
