Nabil Fahmy Named New Arab League Chief as Egypt Retains Leadership of Regional Bloc

Former Egyptian foreign minister Nabil Fahmy has been unanimously appointed as the new Secretary-General of the Arab League, reinforcing Egypt’s longstanding leadership within the Cairo-based institution.
